Randy Scheidt founded Don R Scheidt & Co., Inc. Beginning in 1977; he guided the firm for over forty years. In addition, Scheidt Commercial Realty, LLC was established in 2019 to serve future clientele and to assist with personal real estate investments.

Established in 1984 by the MIBOR REALTOR® Association, the MIBOR REALTOR® Foundation awards grants to nonprofit organizations solving homelessness in central Indiana. “Randy Scheidt has served as a committed member of the South Central Riley Philanthropy council since 2018. The South Central Riley Philanthropy Council is one of six Riley Philanthropy Councils across the state of Indiana. These councils exist to garner high level statewide support for Riley Hospital for Children, Indiana’s only comprehensive pediatric healthcare system.
From 2019 to 2023 Randy served as the Senior Advisor of this group. His role was to lead a group of like-minded business professionals in Columbus including Bartholomew County and the surrounding counties. Rotary International was a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative. Since 1979, the number of polio cases has fallen by 99.9%. They have helped immunize more than 2.5 billion children in 122 countries. So far, Rotary has contributed more than $1.8 billion toward eradicating the disease worldwide.
Don R. (Randy) Scheidt joined the Columbus Rotary Club in 1978. He was President of it from July 1, 1988 to June 30, 1989 He is also a Paul Harris Fellow at the Ruby level.
The Appraisal Institute is a global professional association of real estate appraisers, with over 17,000 professionals in almost 50 countries throughout the world. Its mission is to advance professionalism and ethics, global standards, methodologies, and practices through the professional development of property economics worldwide. ~Appraisal Institute
Randy became a Member of the Appraisal Institute (AI) in 1980. He has helped others learn about real estate economics and valuations for many years. Randy was a member of the Education Committee from 2014 through 2017. He continues to serve as an instructor for select courses and seminars for the AI.

Randy has served on various committees for Certified Commercial Investment Member, CCIM, since 1988. He is currently appointed to the NAR 2024 & 2025 Public Policy Coordinating Committee Representing CCIM on PPCC.

Randy has been active for the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors as an instructor for many years and has been selected by ICBR to develop and present programs, serve as moderator, or participate on panel discussions for the annual ICBR Conference.

MIBOR REALTOR® Association (MIBOR) is the professional association representing central Indiana’s REALTORS®. Founded in 1912, MIBOR was established by 43 charter members and today serves the needs of more than 8,500 members in Boone, Brown, Decatur, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morgan, and Shelby counties. In addition to serving these counties, MIBOR also provides a Broker Listing Cooperative® (BLC®) listing service to REALTORS® in Bartholomew, Jackson, Jennings and Putnam counties. ~MIBOR
Randy cuuently serves as a Commercial Representative on the MIBOR Economic & Community Development Council (ECDC). His term will end on December 31, 2026. He joined the council in 2015 and served as its chair from 2020-2021. In 2021, Randy was awarded the NAR Commercial Award for his work on MIBOR’s ECDC. He also received two MIBOR 2017 Distinguished Service Awards at the January 2018 Foundation Ball.
